Oh Cosmo...

Michael Richards is seriously regretting cell-phone technology today.

Indeed, not all publicity is good publicity--despite what you might think. If you haven't yet heard/seen/read about it, Michael Richards--who played to perfection my all-time favorite TV character, Cosmo Kramer--went off on one of the worst racial tirades in Hollywood history. It made Mel Gibson look like a schoolgirl.

You can see it at TMZ.com--and it's not pretty.

So sad. I wish I could have lived with the memory of his character Kramer instead of the actuality of his person Michael.

That someone could feel that way, first of all, is beyond me. For a professional actor to lose all composure on stage is even worse. His Letterman attempt at an apology exacerbated the whole thing, if you ask me.

Michael, here's my advice: you're obviously not cut out for the Stand-Up circuit, so don't try to salvage you career in that way. Do lots and lots of charity work. Move to Africa and surround yourself with the Natives. Do like politicians do, only mean it. Then, when you're dead, the whole world will forgive you and love you more than ever---and Kramer will live on...

wesman.
